Reports have shown that the unemployment rate in Africa has risen significantly in 2025.More than 60% of Africa’s young population are without meaningful high paying jobs.This has sparked a rise in the rate of poverty and illegal migration.
Nonetheless, some forward-thinking young Africans have been able to land decent decent high paying jobs.
Savanna Journal looks at 7 proven ways of landing these opportunities.
1. Become a regional agitator:
If you are from the Niger Delta, Ashanti, or the Kanbadi regions in Africa, just agitate for government attention. You will quickly be granted amnesty and placed on fat salaries just to keep you quiet.
2. Pray, fast, and pay your tithe regularly:
Well, in Africa, landing a high-paying job is a spiritual matter. It is not for sinners.
3. Become a government praise-singer:
If only you can always support the government on social media, you will be placed on a huge salary. Just make sure you have a reasonable social media presence.
4. Become an online money-making coach: All you need is a little money to pay for ads, hire clothes, and show fake screenshots. Africans will believe and even pay you to show them methods that will never work.
5. Become a xenophobe:
Just chase away foreigners, and better high paying jobs will become available in your land.
6. Become a political thug:
If you are muscular and a bit unenlightened then you can become a tool in the hands of politicians during elections.
7. Become a vandal:
Provided you have a good relationship with the police and some politicians then vandalising and reselling public facilities to government officials and contractors could be a decent-paying occupation.
These jobs can earn you a decent pay in Africa but the downside is most of them can earn you a decent stay in jail outside Africa.
